“Un Pasto Buono per tutti”, a good meal for everyone, this is the slogan that Mr. Gregorio Fogliani’s Qui! Foundation used to promote its new initiative aimed to contribute to the fight against food waste and to enhance the protection of less affluent families in local society.
This Italian foundation is trying to affirm itself as the new leader in converting food waste into useful resources. Thanks to its commitment to collect unsold meals from restaurants and cafes and re-distribute them to people in need, Qui! Foundation succeeded in recovering nearly 50 thousand meals in 2012, 100 thousand in 2013, and it aims at reaching 150 thousand by the end of 2014.
