The Chinese are the most generous spenders of visitors to Tokyo, a report has revealed.
According to the Tokyo metropolitan government, Chinese visitors spent an average of 191,741 yen ($1791) per trip in Tokyo in fiscal 2013.
The data also says Chinese spent an average of 122,684 yen ($1146) on gifts, compared with overall foreign visitor spending of 46,546 yen ($434.5) on average.
Majority of Chinese visited Ginza district, famous for its luxury brand shops.
Singaporeans and Spanish were the second and third biggest spenders, cashing out an average of 135,377 yen ($1263) and 129,558 yen ($1210), respectively.
