The French group Klépierre has enlarged and requalified the Romagna Shopping Valley centre in Savignano sul Rubicone in the province of Forlì-Cesena with an over €100 million investment.
The new shopping center, which covers 90,000 square metres, will be inaugurated today and already hosts brands, such as Desigual, H&M, Terranova, the American MAC Cosmetics (part of the Estèe Lauder group) and Sephora. This operation resulted in the creation of 350 new jobs and involved 40 companies, almost half of which are based in the area.
“With the new concept that we have called Club Store, the ambition is to create places with a certain spirit, that communicate emotions to the visitors, in this way adding a multi-sensorial experience to the shopping one: visual, emotional, interactive and comfortable,” explains the French group.
With a €14 billion net worth, Klépierre owns 125 shopping centres in addition to another 175 under its management. Present in thirteen EU countries, the group's shopping centres are, above all, concentrated in Scandinavia, France and Italy.
In Italy, the group owns 27 centres, including the one in Assago's Milanofiori and Le Rondinelle in Brescia. BNP Paribas and Simon Property Group together hold a majority stake in the company.
The expansion and requalification took three years with 150 people involved in the construction of the new areas and another 600 people involved in the preparation of the shops. Club Store is the trademark of the group's shopping centres, which, every year, comprehensively welcome 750 million people.
