The product has just been launched in Australia and will be back on our shores imminently
McDonald's has confirmed the date of the long awaited re-release of the limited edition Creme Egg McFlurry.
After the Mirror Online asked McDonald's last month if the corporation was planning to bring back the phenomenally popular ice cream back in time for Easter, a spokesman confirmed it was.
And now we know precisely when.
In a tweet to McFlurry fan Amy Webster, the company revealed the ice cream, chocolate and fondant sauce favourite was returning to UK branches next Wednesday, March 16.
Asked by Amy when the coveted McFlurry was coming back, McDonald's tweeted from its official UK account: "We can help you out next week on that one Amy! Come and see us Wednesday!"
The news comes in the wake of British McFlurry fans enviously watching Australians enjoying the treat after McDonald's re-launched the McFlurry Down Under.
That got us thinking... why on earth isn't it in UK restaurants yet?
So in February, with fear setting in, we contacted McDonald's to find out if the Easter treat was ever coming back to our shores.
A spokeswoman told Mirror Online: "I can confirm that this will be making an appearance on the UK menu this year.
"However, we would like to keep exact dates under wraps and ask fans keep their eyes peeled!"
So now you know - see you in the queue next week.
