Fast fashion retailer Primark has opened a 59,000 sq ft store at the O’Parinor shopping centre, for the brand’s first store in Paris.
“Although very early days, customer reception has been positive,” said a spokesperson.
Primark opened a Marseilles store in December last year, followed by a store in Dijon and wants to take advantage of a “huge expansion opportunity” in France.
O’Parinor, which is managed by Hammerson, is in the midst of a €50M renovation programme which will feature a new cinema anchor and restaurant quarter. Primark will join retailers Sephora, Guess, G-Star, Zara and H&M at the centre.
Jean-Philippe Mouton, Managing Director for Hammerson France commented: “Primark has been one of the outstanding retail success stories in recent years and its brand presence continues to drives strong footfall. Being able to deliver its compelling fashion offer to the Parisian catchment will strengthen O’Parinor’s appeal with both retailers and shoppers.”
