Gino D'Acampo opens his latest Manchester restaurant and bar this weekend - a pizza and prosecco place inside Next.

The celebrity chef is launching Gino D'Acampo - My Pizza & Prosecco Bar together with Individual Restaurants inside the fashion retailer's newly refurbished flagship shop at Manchester Arndale.

The huge 200-seater venue is based on the top floor of the shop, with floor to ceiling windows looking out over Exchange Square, Cathedral Gardens and the Corn Exchange - where the TV star's other restaurant, Gino D'Acampo - My Restaurant, is based.

A 23-metre island bar takes centre stage in the space, serving more than 30 types of prosecco, franciacorta and other Italian wines, all by the glass, along with Italian cocktails, bottled beers and Neapolitan coffee.

An open kitchen stands opposite, where diners can watch Neapolitan pizzas and al forno dishes cooked in two wood-fired copper ovens, along with a cold counter stocked with Italian cured meats and cheeses.

There'll also be an ice cream bar with a build your own sundae section along with cakes from an in-house bakery.

A deli - My Grocery Store - will be based by the entrance, where customers can pick up pasta, panettone and other Italian treats to take home, as well as cookbooks including Gino's Italian Coastal Escapes, which accompanies his latest TV series.

The restaurant also features a games area with two pool tables and a selfie mirror, as well as work stations with free, superfast wifi as part of its all-day offer.

Gino, who will host the restaurant's official opening on Friday November 24, said: “I’m super excited to be opening My Pizza and Prosecco Bar in Manchester and with my new partnership with Next.

"What more can someone want than great pizza, great prosecco and a bit of retail therapy?”

The restaurant is part of a new partnership between Next and the Manchester-based Individual Restaurants group, which also owns Piccolino and The Restaurant Bar and Grill, with plans to open more in-store restaurants elsewhere in the UK.

The restaurant, accessed from both inside the store and its own dedicated entrance on Corporation Street, will open from 10am until 11pm, seven days a week.
