The shop will be opening in Trinity Leeds
Online giant Amazon is opening a new store in Leeds city centre.
It will be taking over the pop-up shop at Trinity Leeds, BLK BX based at the Albion Street entrance, which has introduced shoppers to lots of new retailers since launching last year.
Clicks and Mortar opens today as part of small business support network Enterprise Nation, in partnership with Amazon, Square and Direct Line for Business.
The shop will feature more than 15 online wellness and activewear brands from across the UK, who will be meeting customers and selling in store for the first time as people look to improve their wellbeing.
Clicks and Mortar Leeds will give shoppers the chance to discover health and wellbeing products and services from up-and-coming brands in this growing sector.
They include Supernova an organic, plant-based superfoods protein powder that uses sustainable packaging to reduce plastic waste, and OC Gear, an eco clothing brand dedicated to the education and clean up of Ocean waste.
“This Clicks and Mortar programme has seen us open successful stores in Manchester, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Sheffield so far and we’re delighted to be opening our latest store in Leeds,” said Emma Jones, founder of Enterprise Nation.
“The store will give Leeds shoppers access to ground-breaking products on their own doorstep, including cutting edge beauty and anti-aging products, fitness accessories as well as innovations aimed at increasing mental wellbeing. The shops are aimed at giving local communities a way to support UK small businesses, while getting direct access to products that are only usually available online.”
The featured businesses have all built successful brands selling online and now want to explore physical retail for the first time. As well as selling directly to customers, building awareness of their brand and learning from other growing businesses, the featured sellers will all be able to access on-site business advisers.
“As a proud Yorkshireman, I know that Leeds is home to some fantastic up-and-coming businesses with great brands and exciting products,” said Doug Gurr, Amazon UK country manager.
“Clicks and Mortar is part of Amazon’s commitment to supporting the growth of small businesses across Yorkshire and the UK – helping them to grow their brands both online and in physical retail, as well as boosting the UK economy and creating jobs.”
Other retailers forming the new venture include Starpro Sports, Pets Purest, Rise and Shine Living and Shole.
The new concept store will be open until Tuesday, March 31.
