Miami vs. Manhattan permeated much of the conversation at a South Florida panel reviewing the growth of the luxury retail market in Miami.
More than 100 people attended the event, High Street Goes Main Street: Luxury Retail Rising in Miami, held Wednesday at the Four Seasons Hotel Miami. Organized by Commercial Real Estate Women – Miami, the panel was moderated by Jennifer LeClaire, southeast regional editor of GlobeSt.com and contributing editor to the Real Estate Forum.
Much of the conversation centered on Miami's growing role as a chief competitor to New York City as a destination for luxury retailers, the demands that come with that growth and how the region can mitigate those challenges, and what Miami can do to further capitalize on the growing luxury retail market.
