The activity of Sconci Art Gallery in the art world began in Rome in 1977.
The gallery has collaborated with top Italian and International galleries and Auction Houses that developed to their mega launch in the art world and has given immense opportunities to come on contact with painters, sculptors, scholars and art critics.
In the 80’s and 90’s, the reputation of Sconci Art Gallery had grown even more and it had developed into an important point of reference for artists, collectors and art enthusiasts from all over the world. The team did their study based on the art market in the UAE and neighbouring countries and realised that Dubai is the most Sconci Art Gallery important commercial and cultural centre, resulting in opening of the gallery in October 2015. Dubai has emerged as one of the most important destinations for art enthusiasts, collectors and dealers from all over the world.
Right from exhibiting the work of masters such as Andy Warhol and Fateh Moudarres to offering a platform for local artists, Sconci Art Gallery is focused on capturing the minds of art-enthusiasts in Dubai.
Sconci Art Gallery is one of the latest additions to Dubai’s cultural landscape and the first Italian gallery in the emirate. The business has been handed over from artistic director Stefano Sconci to his son Lorenzo. Lorenzo Sconci believes that their exhibitions will be devoted so as to feature the great masters of modern and contemporary art and emerging artists who will often visit and create their art work on location.
The team plans to carry out exhibitions of painters of Arab culture who have studied in Italy attending Academy of Fine Arts in Rome in the 60’s and 70’s (Moudarres, Madi, El Gazzar etc.).
The team also believes in providing rental of art works. They are ready to accommodate customer who would like to decorate home or office spaces for an important meeting or to give any prestigious event a new look. Clients can rent art pieces and display works by important masters and avoid expensive purchases.
