World of Beer Searching for Three Interns to Travel and Drink Beer

Tampa, FL (RestaurantNews.com) World of Beer (WOB) has brought back the popular Drink It Intern program. The company is looking for three interns to travel the country this summer to live, drink and share the best of the beer world with brew lovers everywhere. Three interns will be chosen to be the 2017 Drink It Interns — and will earn a cool $12,000, plus have their travel costs covered as they share their experiences with World of Beer customers.

WOB is looking for photographers, writers, social media mavericks and beer blog surfers to share their beer experiences with World of Beer customers. To date, more than 6,000 hopefuls have applied — the deadline to enter is Sunday, March 26, at 11:59 p.m. ET.

The internship runs May through August, and interns will capture content that gives beer fans a behind-the-scenes look at fan-favorite brews and share the untold stories of beer communities that make up the country and the world. This is the second year of the Drink It Intern program.

“There’s been an overwhelming response to the Drink It Intern program, and we are enjoying reviewing the applications as they come in,” says Hannah Davis, Director of Brand Marketing, World of Beer. “Every application is personally reviewed for consideration — so we encourage anyone and everyone to apply. Three candidates will be chosen for the experience of a lifetime.”

Applications will be accepted online March 1-26, 2017.

Round 1: Submit your application online by March 26, 2017, and share a one-minute video that shows your passion and interest in the position. The videos should help WOB get to know you better. Your most epic beer memory, the best trip you’ve ever been on or an ode to your favorite beer are all fair game. Be creative … but please pay attention to the entry requirements — all videos must meet the outlined criteria to be considered.

Round 2: In-person interviews at a WOB near you.

Select applicants will move on to Round 2 and be asked to come in to a World of Beer location on April 8 for a live interview in front of a panel of beer-lebrity judges. Candidates should be ready to show their true personality and wow the panel with their social media and creative prowess and passion for beer and food. Locations for the interviews include: Henderson, Nevada; Ft. Worth, Texas; Tampa, Florida; Greensboro, North Carolina; CambridgeSide, Massachusetts; Columbus, Ohio; Gainesville, Florida; Rockville, Maryland; and St. Paul, Minnesota.
