On February 7th, 2014, the DI Lelio family, heir of Alfredo DI Lelio, the creator of fettuccine Alfredo, celebrated “National Fettuccine Alfredo Day”.
The Real Alfredo at Piazza Augusto Imperatore 30 is the historic restaurant in Rome where the famous Alfredo’s fettuccine is served. The Real Alfredo has been known all over the world since 1920, when the popular American actors Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks gave Alfredo a golden fork and spoon as a present after eating the majestic dish on their honeymoon. Since then, the famous restaurateur and his family have served the gastronomic creation to special and important guests.
The successful event took place in the only restaurant in Rome, Il Vero Alfredo in Piazza Augusto Imperatorore, 30. Friends, personalities close to the historic family, a large number of potential master franchisees and VIP personalities were present tasting the famous fettuccine.
The event also served to renew and strengthen the franchise development project, expanding its international relations.
