The $500,000 per month apartment on the 39th floor of New York’s Pierre Hotel is officially off the market, at least until the end of this month.
The most expensive lease in the history of New York, according to the Wall Street Journal, nets a full-floor, 4,786-square-foot apartment in the luxury hotel, with six bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms (and, naturally, a chauffeur-driven Jaguar).
The apartment is one of 10 Grand Suites in Town Fifth Avenue’s The Pierre Hotel Residences portfolio. Panoramic views of Central Park, a private elevator and custom furnishings complete the apartment, while it also benefits from the Pierre Hotel’s luxury services, including a twice daily maid service and pet pampering.
The same tenant has also leased a $150,000-per-month guest suite, the 1,015-square-foot Getty Suite, on the 10th floor in the hotel. The listing agent declined to give the renter’s nation of origin.
