Major Saudi conglomerate seeking CEO to segregate it’s land bank, manage and invest in property.

Over many decades this prominent Saudi conglomerate operating a wide array of business lines across Saudi Arabia has built up a significant land bank of both owned and leased land and real estate, and now seeks to turn this silent asset into an opportunity. The company seeks to carve out the land assets from group companies into a separate company to benefit from better commercial management of existing assets and leases, and use the new intellectual capital to create a new firm who will deploy significant capital investment into long term land and real estate opportunities.
We are seeking a CEO for this new firm who will undertake the creation of a new company within the group structure and manage the transfer of real estate assets into the new company’s portfolio. The individual will be expected to commercially evaluate the potential and actual value of assets and will develop creative solutions on how to best make use of a very large portfolio of both owned and leased land and real estate. The individual will be expected to work with companies within the group on a commercial basis as well as external third parties to create value, as well as invest in land assets with strong long term fundamentals.
We are not looking purely for a real estate investor, but a land/property expert who has a very deep knowledge of the commercial, legal, transactional, structural and financial management of land and real estate, and who has leadership ability and a strong ability to think creatively and to boldly go where no conglomerate has gone before. As such we are strictly interested in hearing from only those with all of the below requirements:
• A strong practical knowledge of the Saudi Arabia land and real estate market from a financial, legal and commercial perspective.
• Must have operated at Director level and above in a firm such as real estate consultancy, land management, real estate investment or corporate management of real estate assets.
• Must have worked on innovative structures for commercial use of land and real estate.
• Must have proven leadership ability and a clear track record of innovation.
